Amanar breaks from the cantilever line. It sets the light source towards the wall providing indirect light or console to spotlight decor acting as a guiding light — a floor lamp silhouette that anchors a room differently than anything else in the Ngravology range. If cantilevers are about reach, Amanar is about presence.
1550mm tall with a 300mm base spread, it fills a corner, grounds a living room, and spotlights a decorated wall space. Steel frame. Matte black. Warm LED. Made in the same Abuja workshop as every Ngravology lamp.

The story behind the name. Amanar is the Tuareg word for Orion — the constellation that guided desert nomads across the Sahara for centuries. The word itself comes from the ancient Berber root for “guiding.” But the Tuareg weren’t alone in reading that sky. Hausa scholars knew Orion as al-Jawza’ through Arabic astronomy — the three stars of its belt marked the seasons for planting and harvest. Fulani pastoralists read the same stars to time their cattle migrations across the Sahel. From the Sahara to the savanna, Orion was the guide everyone looked up to.
